Water-Gate Aquatic works
Temporary cofferdams allow you to work under the water level, in particular to perform aquatic work. It is the culmination of simple and effective technology to instantly block, divert or contain water from aquatic areas and is a simple and practical alternative to fighting fires in forest environments. Its relatively light weight makes it easier to transport and install, especially in remote and hard-to-reach places.
Water-Gate barriers are flexible and can be installed on any type of surface, thus making it possible to arrange water intakes for fire fighting even inside a small stream. This water, filtered from all debris and all impurities, can then be used to fight a fire or even a forest fire.
The Water-Gate WA model is particularly useful in rural areas where fire hydrants are not available.
Types of use
The Water-Gate WA model was designed for the creation of instant cofferdams. Ideal for rapid excavation work—repairing bridges, changing or repairing culverts, burial work in aquatic environments, pipeline passages, bank restoration, pouring cement, dredging, lock maintenance and much more.
Deviation of the Water Trajectory
The water barrier can be used to divert the path of water to a specific area. This characteristic is ideal for carrying out aquatic works without interrupting the circulation of water. It allows the partial drainage of an arm of a river or a section of a watercourse.
While this use is recommended for our WT models, the WA model has dual functionality to contain a toxic spill. However, only the overflow function is made possible in the absence of a release hole downstream of the barrier. As with the WT models, it is possible to add an absorbent tube to extract the floating pollutants on the surface.
By installing a weir on the barrier, it is possible to cause a deflection of the water flow towards a specific area. Pipes can easily be installed on the weir to give the effect of a pipeline. Several lengths are available on request. In addition to use with other emergency response equipment, the barrier can block existing drainage systems and redirect spilled products.
The advantages of our water barriers
Save time and money for a multi-use system and instant operation.
A barrier that can adapt to all types of terrain, making it possible to intervene in rocky ground and other non-flat surfaces.
A self-sufficient barrier with no compromises, no maintenance costs or additional equipment required.
